eDesign Dynamics served as the engineering and green infrastructure consultant for the development of design guidelines for the 14-mile Brooklyn Greenway.
These guidelines provided alternatives for
the Greenway to serve as the backbone for a stormwater network that diverts stormwater from the combined sewer system. In addition to stormwater management, the design guidelines and strategies focused on providing a coherent expression for Greenway development while addressing a range of issues including: climate change, rising sea levels, water quality, and coastal habitat enhancements. Finally, case studies were prepared for Red Hook and Sunset Park that consisted of bioswales, rain gardens, vegetated conveyance swales, wetlands, and storm surge barriers.
