Bronx, New York: EDD is working on a consultant team (led by Quennell Rothschild & Partners) on the design and construction of a 19.5-acre waterfront park located adjacent to the Whitestone Bridge in the Bronx, NY.
EDD led the design of a 1.62-acre salt marsh. EDD developed the salt marsh grading plan and tidal channel with a focus on ensuring long-term native species survival and dissipation of wave energy. During the design phase, EDD performed a vegetation survey and developed an invasive species control plan to prepare the site prior to construction. The engineers at EDD are overseeing the saltwater marsh installation and developing a maintenance and monitoring plan to ensure that vegetation and habitat is successfully established.
