CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT SERVICES FOR ON-SITE GREEN INFRASTRUCTURE AT NYCDPR & NYCHA PROPERTIES

Brooklyn and Queens, NYC, NY:    EDD is a subconsultant to Jacobs Civil Consultants (Jacobs) for providing construction management (CM) services at 28 NYC Parks properties and one NYCHA property that are to receive green infrastructure retrofits.

EDD’s role included a full-time Field Inspector for overseeing construction activities for six months, which involved preparing daily inspection reports; verifying compliance with all requirements from the design drawings, specifications, and Contractor submittals; and ensuring a safe work environment for all workers and adjacent communities. The Field Inspector was also in constant communication with the Contractor and the Resident Engineer to ensure all work was being accurately tracked. EDD also provided Office Engineer services, which included tracking all Contractor submittals, RFIs, and change orders. EDD’s Office Engineer also served as the liaison between the Contractor and three design consultants as well as the liaison between the Contractor and multiple City agencies, including NYCDEP, NYCDPR, and NYCDOT impervious area.
