Grenada
Through the Green Climate Fund’s (GCF) grant to the government of Grenada, eDesign Dynamics partnered with the NYU Marron Institute of Urban Management to complete a pre-feasibility study of various climate change preparation projects for the island including:
– Adaptation of the Carenage Edge—the historic center of the island.
– Planning for sea level rise in the Grand Anse Beach area—the focal point of tourism on the island.
– Developing adaptation strategies for Grenville—a critical center on the eastern side of the island.
– Erosion control planning at the international airport.
– Working with municipal engineers to identify gaps in waste and stormwater infrastructure.
During technical workshops and stakeholder outreach sessions, the EDD team led group discussions and design charrettes to examine possibilities for each project site, while ensuring the discussion of economic, ecological and cultural components of each project. From each charrette, EDD produced concept designs for each project opportunity area to aid in the dissemination of project goals and to iterate based on the key element of public feedback on proposed designs.CLIENTS AND PARTNERS
