Nathaniel Goetz
Project Engineer
Nathaniel Goetz graduated from Columbia University in 2023 with a Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, concentrating in Water Resources and Climate Risks. During his time at Columbia, he led several interdisciplinary projects working to address stormwater management issues in NYC with green infrastructure designs. For his master’s thesis, Nathaniel piloted an independent field study to quantify the extent of hypoxia mitigation for a restored NYC tidal wetland. Prior to working at eDesign Dynamics, he served as a Fellow at NASA researching the effects of sea-level rise and coastal development on blue carbon sinks for NYC salt marshes. He is experienced in habitat restoration and is motivated to reduce impacts of the built environment by restoring ecosystem functions wherever possible. Nathaniel has professional certifications in Wetland Delineation and as a NAACC Lead Observer for assessing aquatic connectivity at road-stream crossings.
